Noon, Former First Lady Laura Bush signs her new memoir, Books-A-Million store, 1451 Chain Bridge Road in downtown McLean.  You must have a numbered wristband and a copy of the book to participate in the book signing. Store closed for book signing until 3 p.m.

Junior parents are invited to attend a college planning night.  A panel of college admissions representatives from Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Tech, Christopher Newport University, and The University of Alabama will discuss frequently asked parent questions.

Metro Construction: Foundations are now being built for the station directly in front of Tysons Corner Mall on Route 123. This will be the busiest station in Phase 1 of the project.The left-turn lane from northbound Route 123  to westbound Tysons Boulevard will be closed for approximately two months starting in the overnight hours of Friday, April 30. Traffic will be detoured to International and Galleria Drives. Southbound Route 123 traffic will continue to make right turns to Tysons Boulevard.
