Noon, Former First Lady Laura Bush signs her new memoir, Books-A-Million store, 1451 Chain Bridge Road in downtown McLean.  You must have a numbered wristband and a copy of the book to participate in the book signing. Store closed for book signing until 3 p.m.

Tuesday, April 20, 9:30 am Cooper Middle School, PTA Meeting,  Rm. 130.

Wednesday, April 21, 12:45 pm Senior Center Advisory Council, Lewinsville Senior Center, 1609 Great Falls St, McLean.

7:00 pm McLean High School Lecture Hall. Parents of rising 7th graders invited to “How to Thrive at Longfellow.” Everything you want–and need–to know about your child’s first year of middle school. Chance to ask questions of current Longfellow parents.

7:30 pm Fairfax County Planning Commission, Tysons Corner public hearing. Fairfax County Government Center – Board Auditorium, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA.

11 pm – 2 am. All eastbound and westbound lanes of the Dulles Toll Road and the Dulles Access Road will be closed four separate times between nimight and 2:45 am. just east of the  Hunter Mill Road ramps. Barriers to up at 11 pm.

Friday April 23 Langley High School, parent volunteer host a teacher appreciation dessert buffet.

Friday, April 23 and Saturday April 24, 8 pm Jerry’s Girls, McLean Community Center.

Saturday, April 24,10:30 am Langley High School team appears on It’s Academic, WRC-TV.

2 pm McLean Community Center,  Crabgrass Puppets present The Day It Snowed Tortillas.
4:30 pm WORKSHOP – Puppet Extravaganza.

McLean Citizens Association, deadline for Teen Character Award to recognize teens with exceptional ethical and compassionate character. The award is not a competition. All teens whose nomination indicate they meet the criteria will receive an award.

Sunday, April 25, 2 pm Franklin Sherman Elementary School, McLean’s oldest school, celebration of its 95th birthday.
