Here are the latest details for Tuesday’s visit to McLean by former First Lady Laura Bush who will sign her copies of her new memoir at the Books-A-Million store in downtown beginning at noon.
Books-a-Million will begin handing out numbered wristbands at the Chain Bridge Road store beginning noon Sunday. After you get a wristband you will need to either buy a pre-sale voucher for the book, “Spoken From the Heart” , before Tuesday or the book itself on Tuesday, said Eric Seabrook II, general manager of the McLean store.
Only customers with both a wristband and a book will be allowed in the line for the actual booksigning, Seabrook said. He said the store is prohibited from selling the book itself until Tuesday.
Some details of the visit are still under construction such as how customers with wristbands and vouchers will actually get their books for signing Tuesday morning and how those who need to purchase the books that morning will receive them and then proceed to see Mrs. Bush, Seabrook said.
